We identified a niche in the market — the absence of a reliable and inclusive platform dedicated to Muslim attire. Many individuals faced challenges finding trustworthy sources for culturally appropriate clothing, often resorting to local tailors or specific shops. With my co-partner belonging to the Muslim community, we gained firsthand insights into these struggles and conducted in-depth research to understand their preferences and pain points. As our research deepened, we discovered similar gaps across lifestyle products as well. Riwayat was conceptualized as a thoughtful eCommerce platform that celebrates identity and inclusivity while offering a seamless shopping experience tailored to the diverse needs of Muslim castes and communities.
